Week 3 EFJ

 Helllo everyone back again with me, and this is my third week in English for Journalism.

As usual, I woke up in the morning. After that, I prayed first, took a shower, got myself ready, and then went to campus by myself. Our regular schedule also includes a makeup class every Tuesday; this week we had a pragmatics class at 14:50.

For the main activity, we continued using Microsoft Reading Progress in teams with a new topic: President Jokowi. Before starting, we were instructed to read the provided text carefully and make sure we understood it. We practiced active reading by taking notes and highlighting key points. After reading, there was another quiz and some sentence-level tests. I still find my essay answers are often weaker than my multiple-choice responses, but the exercises help me improve. We wrapped up the session with a self-assessment scale and received comments on our performance.

After class, a friend and I had a meal outside together before going home.

Week 2 EFJ

  Heii back again with me Ulfiyah Kaltsum. This week, we continued our   English for Journalism   course, which we always have every Tuesday morning. I arrived for class at   07.30 , and our session finished at   09.10 . Some of my classmates were still in their hometowns, but the class went on as usual. In the second week, we continued working on our Reading Progress activity in teams, but with a different topic and script. This time, we read a news script about Princess Kate and identified the main idea of the story. After reading the script, we also had to answer several questions based on the text to check our understanding. For the  mini research project , I was partnered with  Fian . Together, we prepared a short plan for our upcoming visit to one of the television media stations in the city and gathered the basic information needed before going. Week 1 EFJ

  Hello everyone ♡  My name is Ulfiyah Kaltsum,you can call me Fiyah and this is my very first blog where I’ll talk about my first week in the   English for Journalism   course. During the first week, especially in the first session, I started my day early. I arrived at class around 07.09 and did my attendance between 07.30–07.40. In this first meeting, Miss Nopy mainly explained our tasks and final project. She also assigned us to work in teams using Microsoft Reading Progress. We were given an article by our lecturer and our job was to read and deliver the news as if we were presenting it live on television just like a real news anchor. We also needed to submit the script we used for reading. The article I read was about  Bob Smith from Channel 13 News . After finishing the video recording, there was also a quiz and feedback session to help us pronounce the words correctly and speak more clearly. IIEC LISTENING

Hi, I'll tell you about next week So before I went to campus I did online learning, namely the basic English grammar course taught by Mum Himala, before 10.50 she ended the meeting because she wasn't feeling well. Then I finished my preparations and went to campus, the campus was quite close from my house, it only took me a minute to arrive. On campus the class started at DH 300, of course mam noppy had arrived before us she was really a disciplined person she said that she looked like the female version of Pak Prabowo, continued when it was time for class some of the friends in the class had not updated their photos in Syam ok, now Entering the material, we discuss the differences between TOEIC, TOEFL and IELTS, then we train our listening by listening to several questions and then writing them on the board.
